Cosmetic Question: What filler works best for a fine line? I have fine facial lines but the filler I had just made the line into a ridge.
The newly approved filler, Belotero by Merz, is the best.
This filler is very soft and spreads out like butter.
It was specifically designed to be injected directly into the skin to fill fine lines – ‘smoker’s lines’ ones around the mouth, fine cheek lines and crow’s feet that extend onto the cheek.
The other fillers – Juvederm and Juvederm Ultra Plus, Restylane, Perlane and Radiesse – are excellent but too firm to use for fine lines in the skin itself.
They are lovely in many areas – to define the lip, to fill in cheek folds, and for depressions in the cheek or temple. But for superfine skin lines – They all look best if injected under, not into, the skin.
