Is an outer thigh lift right for me?
Outer thigh lifts are excellent operations for women and men who want to lift their outer thighs which are sagging because of weight loss or any other reason. It is a popular cosmetic operation in the greater Atlanta area and across the USA.
Why? Naturally we want to feel confident about our bodies and look good in our clothes. Most people are very pleased with this operation which is why it remains so popular.
What does a thigh lift do?
An outer thigh lift removes sagging tissues on the outer thigh (lower flank and upper hip area). There are various choices, depending on your situation. The outer thigh lift may be part of a body lift, or by itself, or with a tummy tuck or with liposuction. Which option is best for you? Should liposuction be done first and a lift later? The choices can get confusing. Dr. Morgan will explain everything during your consultation. Plus we give you everything in writing too. There’s nothing to worry about.
How long does a thigh lift take?
The surgery takes about 4 hours. You are asleep for the surgery. In about 2-3 weeks you can return to work. You can start walking to keep fit as soon as your energy returns, in 2-4 weeks.
You will usually need pain medicine for 5 days. You spend most of the first ten days in bed or a reclining chair, getting up only for use of the bathroom. This takes pressure off the incision. You wear a support garment for six weeks to support your healing.
Can other procedures be done at the same time?
It can be done as part of a body lift, with liposuction and a tummy tuck or with an inner thigh lift. It is generally better to leave additional major operations for another time. Dr. Morgan will discuss all the possibilities with you during your consultation.
